Protecting Childhood. Preventing Early Marriage.
SEVA, in collaboration with SBC3, works to prevent child marriage and promote a safer, more supportive environment for children, particularly adolescent girls in rural communities.
The initiative focuses on community awareness, early identification of children at risk, parental engagement and strengthening local support systems. Through awareness sessions and community interactions, SEVA engages parents, adolescents, teachers, community leaders and local institutions on the harmful consequences of child marriage and the importance of education and equal opportunities for girls.
The programme also encourages communities to recognise and respond to risks early, while strengthening coordination with relevant stakeholders for timely intervention and protection.
By challenging harmful social norms and empowering families and communities with knowledge, SEVA works towards creating child-marriage-free communities where girls can continue their education, make informed choices and build a secure future.
